Description
A sketch book, containing many images of animals.
From the M.R. James catalog:
This forms a most remarkable collection of studies by an English artist of the last years of the fourteenth century. They are, I think, intended for use both in paintings on a large scale (whether wall-paintings or easel-pictures) and also in illustrating books and in embroidery. For the latter purposes the studies of birds are specially appropriate. Bird-life seems to have been a favorite study of English artists.
