Caladrius
The caladrius is a bird that can predect whether a sick person will recover or die. If the bird looks toward the sick person, she will recover; if it looks away it means she will die. This caladrius image is unusual: The caladrius description says it is a white bird, but this one is blue; the bird is very large compared to the person; and the person is sitting up wrapped in a sheet, rather than lying in bed.
