In this contribution I want to briefly discuss the iconographic tradition of Bruun the bear in various editions of den vos Reynaerde. I will mainly limit myself to Dutch editions. This article is only a preliminary study and therefore has limited scientific pretensions. A large number of illustrations should illustrate the attractiveness of the subject.
