The cobra (armene) is a serpent that kills with its gaze and with its hissing, like the basilisk, but it is larger. Its venom is deadly and has no possible cure. It also kills any animals that approach without having to bite them. Another kind of cobra (asylus) rears up and spits venom at its victim.
